The Modern Classicist: Day To Night

I’m a fashion savvy, style blogger, music mogul and a Public Relations student. I grew up seeing my mom and my sister pick their dresses for that perfect Sunday lunch with family, I also grew up watching America’s Next Top Model, Rachel Zoe Project, Fashion Police, Fashion TV and reading fashion magazines/books and local fashion catalogues. Ever since then fashion captivated my all, it teaches me to love thyself and to love clothes and shoes as well.

Fashion has always been my companion in the midst of lonely hour and in the cruelest world of reality. It helped me to build my philosophies in life and to establish my own style. I always believed that personal style is the powerful tool to tell the world who you are.

I never knew that my dreams on what-to-wear-tomorrow will let me make my own fashion blog (Mom’s Closet: domeniperelonia.blogspot.com) and to brand myself as a minimalist and classicist, enthusiast of laid-back and perfect boring sartorial style.

My style rule is extreme. I can go vibrant from calm to clean. I have a natural affinity for all things that are timeless and classic. Street, minimalist, classicist, laid-back and perfect boring sartorial style are my inspiration in clothing. When all else fails my trousers, oversized white button down and basic white sneakers will always be my fashion heroes. What I love about the idea of fashion is; it lets me break the rules and defy norms, it is a perfect nightmare and it brings me to a hallucination wrapped in glamour and intrigue.

Nailed my piece maybe? Lol. Some of my friends and some strangers always ask me what my style really is, I hope I answered it well. And I wanted to blog something about day to night ensemble and how you can rock your staple pieces or your basics. Team Cozy it is!

So let’s start! Here’s my A.M.-P.M./Day-To-Night switcheroo style.

What I Wear: Gray Vintage College Sweater (Thrifted), White Button Down, Trousers, Basic White Sneakers, Black Snapback (Penshoppe).

There are days that you wanted to wear anything that is comfortable and laid-back. You wanted to shout to the world that your today style is #IWokeUpLikeThis and your off-duty look but the real deal is you really planned to wear those pieces, in the name of fashion of course. Haha. What I did here is I layered my white button down with my vintage college sweater for an updated laid-back style. And to top off my day style I partnered it with my trousers and basic sneakers for that classic #TeamCozy vibe. This sartorial style is perfect for that late lunch with friends, movie date or simply going to school or running some errands. I added my black snapback for that athletic one-of-the-boys look and for that double-tap worthy OOTD.

Here’s my take on night sartorial style!

What I Wear: White Graphic T-Shirt (People are People), Black Coat (Markus), Trousers, Basic White Sneakers, Black Snapback (Penshoppe).

We say that the alpha and the omega of fashion is the perfect white shirt. The perfect white shirt and the graphic tees are one of the fashion essentials that everyone has. How about taking it to a 360 degree fashion level? Black coat, trousers and graphic tee will keep you classic, comfy and classy. It’s perfect for hosting a catch-up dinner with some high school friends or going a night out with your clique. This style is effortlessly chic yet not overdressed nor underdressed. If you’re having troubles on what to wear on a night out with friends don’t think too much and go back to basics. It’s all about mixing basic patterns, textures and contrasts.

There you have it, my day to night look, featuring some of the basics of fashion; trousers, white sneakers, white button down and white shirt. Trends come and go but basics will always be there. Because when all else fails just go back to basic. Till next blog post homies! Please do HYPE my 2 new looks #TEAMCOZY & THE CLASSICIST in my Lookbook account.
